It is located in the quaint setting of historic STAUNTON, VIRGINIA, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, approximately two hours from Washington, D.C.'s Beltway, via Interstate Highways I-66 and I-81 South; Richmond, Virginia, via I-64 West; Roanoke, Virginia, via I-81 North, and Lewisburg, West Virginia, via I-64 East. While vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains you are close to many of Virginia's historic attractions. Staunton is surrounded by vineyards, which offer tours and tastings. Within 45 minutes visit the homes of Madison, Monroe, and Jefferson. Woodrow Wilson was born just 7 blocks down Frederick Street, which now houses his presidential library.
And prominently featured in historic Lexington just 30 minutes south are the homes and museums of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. Follow the old stagecoach route and stop off at the Buffalo Springs Herb Garden, Rockbridge Winery, Wade's Mill, and Cyrus McCormick's Farm where he invented the reaper.
